Reiki is a form of alternative medicine known as energy healing that facilitates stress reduction, relaxation, and general wellbeing. The word and technique, Reiki, has Japanese origins: Rei (spirit, divine, universal) and Ki (life force, energy).  Reiki healing artists attune to the frequency of Reiki to support the biofield/auras’ natural restoration process. During a session, Reiki is transferred from the practitioner to the recipient through the palms and can be administered as light touch (non-invasive hands-on healing), no touch (hands hover over the body), or distance (client is in a different location).
